ABOUT US

Dear friends,

        I have the honour to introduce you the EA "Izgrev" from Sveti Nikole. There were two phases during the development of this organization. First one, from 1991 to 1997, embraced the period of introduction with the situation of the environment in the community, first practical actions, work with youth, training, gaining support from our citizens. In this period, the activists did not have permanent place for meetings and their agreements were made in library, in park, classrooms and other places.

       Permanent office work and wider programmed activities and projects were started in 1997. This provided creation of permanent data base, permanent address where the citizens could exchange information and develop ways for protection of the environment. Realization of the first expert analysis for threatening of the environment, promotion of the public participation in the decision making process, creation of plans and strategies for better tomorrow, promotion of a cooperation with the other NGO's and development of the NGO sector in the community and R. Macedonia were started. The growth of the EA "Izgrev" was indubitable and it became serious and desired partner for the NGO's and local authorities, in creation of the common future in the community. The serious approach in the work, continuous improvement with the trainings, enlargement of the membership with progressive, active citizens provided realization of their vision for a better life.

        I believe that with the participation in the work of the EA "Izgrev", a small group of an enthusiasts can make big things, they can create the capital for the future generations.

Running projects

• “Participation in the EKO.NET network” - EA “Izgrev” is an administrative partner of this network for the web site www.eko.net.mk.
• “Water resource strategies and drought alleviation in Western Balkan agriculture” - EA “Izgrev” is an organisation-collaborator within the implementation of the project activities located in the region of Ovce Pole. The project is realising by the Faculty of Agriculture-Skopje.
• “Introduction to usage of alternative energy resources”

• Creating and development of the Organizational Facility Building Program and participation in the producing programs for NGOs”
